Issue One ReFormers Caucus Co-chair and former Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN) was interviewed by Fox News’ Eric Shawn this past weekend on “America’s News HQ” about the recent threat made by North Korea on the upcoming U.S. presidential election. The segment also highlighted our “Don’t Mess With US” project, which launched in 2019 in an effort to stop foreign interference in our elections. Learn more about the project here.

In the full interview, Rep. Wamp also mentioned the urgent need for Congress to help ensure that our elections are safe, secure, and fair this year — whether that is protection from foreign adversaries or coronavirus — by providing states with additional funding in future relief packages:

“We need resources, we need to all be focused on a safe, secure and open election. To me, that really is what separates the United States from the rest of the world, is the fact that we freely elect our leaders and then we peacefully transfer power, even in the middle of a crisis. We did it in the Civil War and the Great Depression and we have got to do it again this year.”
