Elise joined Issue One in 2018 as a policy and programs coordinator to help support our in-district advocacy campaign and other programming initiatives. Before joining Issue One, Elise worked in environmental advocacy and political campaigning in both Washington, D.C. and in her home state of Wisconsin. After moving to Washington in 2016, Elise also worked in political consulting supporting messaging experiments and voter participation testing. She is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a double major in legal studies and environmental studies.

The Phase III stimulus bill allocated $400 million to states to bolster their election infrastructures. Although this was an important down payment, states need more funding. We’re continuing to pressure Congress and advocate for more funding in the Phase IV stimulus package so that our elections are safe, secure, and fair this year.
