Robin Powers has a decade of experience in nonprofit advocacy, development, project management and strategic communications. She previously served as the deputy director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). During her eight years at CREW, she oversaw numerous research reports featured by major media outlets including The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC and ABC News. Robin first joined CREW in 2006 as a research associate. As a program associate for Alliance for Justice, she coordinated workshops and tracked legislation affecting the ability of the nonprofit community to engage in the public policy process. Robin also worked for Vital Voices Global Partnership and the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois. In 2012, she was a fellow with the New Leaders Council, a leading training program focused on developing the next generation of political entrepreneurs and thought leaders. Robin is a graduate of the University of Iowa and attended the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, France.
